IMPORTANT NOTE: You must install the FireWire 800

ExpressCard drivers prior to installing the hardware

to your computer.

1. Insert the FireWire 800 ExpressCard installation CD into

your CD-ROM drive. After a few moments, the main menu

automatically starts.

Note: If the main CD does not auto-start, click the “Start”

button and select “Run”. From the “Run” dialogue box,

enter “<driver>:\setup_xp2.exe” and click “OK” (where

“<driver>” represents the letter driver that identifies your

CD-ROM drive under “My Computer”—e.g., if the CD

is in drive D, enter “D:\setup_xp2.exe”).

2. Select “FireWire 800 Driver”. The Software Installation

Wizard appears and begins to download the drivers.

3. If you receive the following “Software Installation” notice,

click on “Continue Anyway” to continue with the installation

process.

4. After the files successfully copy over, you are ready

to install the hardware.
